USTA Texas offers support to Community Tennis Associations as well as other organizations dedicated to growing tennis in Texas. Eligible organizations may receive financial and/or equipment assistance.

COMMUNITY TENNIS ASSOCIATIONS/FACILITIES
CTA Evaluation and Capacity Building Grant
The Capacity Building Grant was created to offer our Community Tennis Associations (CTAs) and National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) chapters an annual opportunity to receive funding designed to further develop and enhance the basic off-court administrative functions as well as the overall structure of your organization. The awarded amounts are as follows:
- Non-Qualified CTAs: $500 - $3,000
- Qualified CTAs: $500 - $7,500
- NJTL Chapters: up to $2,000
Please note that the grant application cannot be saved and must be completed in one sitting. However, you will have the ability to edit your responses until January 31, 2020, via the link you will receive after you submit your application. USTA Texas Facility Funding
USTA Texas is proud to support various tennis facility projects across the state by providing additional financial assistance to projects that receive funding through the National USTA Facility Assistance Program. For additional information, contact Delia Sescioreanu Mask at email@example.com.

CTA Start-Up Grant
For communities interested in starting a community tennis association (CTA), USTA Texas offers funding that can be used for general start-up costs such as incorporation fees, supplies, advertising, postage, kick-off event, etc. Award Range: $250 - $1,000. USTA Texas Camps (Attend the Tennis Camp of Your Dreams)
Each year various tennis camps across the state participate in our week-long scholarship program. This program is open to all Texas section members 18 years of age and under, who will not be entering college. Scholarship winners are matched with a camp. The scholarship is for players who may not otherwise be able to attend a summer tennis camp. Proof of financial need is required. The 2020 Summer Camp Scholarship is now available! DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Texas Diversity Grant
The Texas Diversity Grant provides players with financial assistance to prepare for and participate in tournament play. The grant is open to Texas players of all levels between the ages of 6-18. Grant awards range from $300-$1,000. Grant recipients serve as positive examples to their peers and as leaders in their communities.
2019 Applicants will need:
- a reference letter from a school official or tennis coach
- report card
- financial documentation
- personal essay
The Texas Diversity Grant has shifted its focus to entry-level (10& Under, first-time, and Challenger) players; however, Champ, Super Champ, and national level players are also encouraged to apply. Multiple applicants are allowed per household, but each applicant must have their own profile with a different log-in and password. The 2019 application deadline has passed.

Diverse Events Grant
The Diverse Events Grant Program is designed to incentivize Community Tennis Associations and other local partners to reach diverse audiences in their community by promoting tennis at a local cultural event or festival of their choosing. Examples might include a Hispanic Heritage festival, Juneteenth celebration, or LGBT Pride event. 4 to 5 grants, up to $500 each, will be awarded. Deadline is on a rolling basis, as long as funds are available. Grant requests should be submitted two weeks prior to event date, at a minimum.

Hispanic Engagement Grant
The Hispanic Engagement Grant program supports local efforts to attract new Hispanic individuals/groups to tennis, such as junior or adult players, volunteers, strategic partners, officials, coaches, or others identified by the grant seeker. Grant awards range from $500‑$3,000 will be awarded. Deadline is on a rolling basis, as long as funds are available. Grant requests should be submitted two weeks prior to program start date, at a minimum.
Note: requests to support supplement aids (ball machines, tennis ball baskets), traditional tennis nets and windscreens, instructor stipends exceeding $30/hour, event decorations and entertainment, and one-day events without a follow-up plan are not supported.

Community Tennis Association Intern Program
The Diversity and Inclusion department is providing up to $2,500 to three (3) Community Tennis Associations to support a 10-12 week summer intern from a local college/university. This grant program has three main objectives:
· Develop a strong, diverse pipeline of talent within the Texas tennis family
· Provide a meaningful internship experience that meets the students’ goals while simultaneously contributing to the needs of the CTA
· Cultivate relationships with local universities
USTA Texas will assist the grantee with creating an internship description and project plan, support cultivating relationships with local universities, and assist with recruiting a diverse candidate pool. The 2019 application deadline has passed..

Growing the Game by Engaging Diverse Markets Toolkit
USTA National has developed a new 5-step online training to help local organizations engage and grow diverse markets in their communities. The training has a practical, hands-on approach that equips the user with how-to tools and resources. USTA Texas will assist in in all aspects of coordinating the training, as well as provide follow-up support. It is open to any CTA, community-based organizations and partners, and individuals who are interested.

Athletic Trainer Matching Grant
The USTA Texas Sports Science Committee is pleased to once again offer you an opportunity to improve your tournaments via the Athletic Trainer Matching Grant. The presence of an athletic trainer at tennis tournaments is becoming increasingly more important at all levels. This grant is to assist tournaments in covering half of the cost of having a trainer present at a tournament. In addition to providing help for injuries, athletic trainers can be used as an educational tool with regards to injury prevention, hydration. Deadline is on a rolling basis, as long as funds are available. If you have tournaments in January and/or February, they will be taken into consideration before the deadline. TEXAS TENNIS AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION
Junior Competitive Player Travel Reimbursement Grant
The purpose of this grant is to assist competitive junior players with their travel expenses to National Junior Tournament Schedule events or ITF Schedule events. Any player, whether Quota (already receiving monetary help from the USTA Texas Section) or not, may submit an application for this travel expense reimbursement grant associated with national events. Texas Tennis and Education Foundation Scholarships
Funds collected through charitable donations and tennis events are under the supervision and control of the Texas Tennis and Education Foundation. The purpose of the funds is to provide scholarships for ambitious and worthy students who reside in the Texas Section, have an interest in tennis, and have a desire to obtain a higher education but are in need of financial aid to do so. The scholarships are administered solely by the Texas Tennis and Education Foundation. Gifts to the tennis scholarship funds should be made directly to the Texas Tennis and Education Foundation and may be earmarked for the particular scholarship if desired.
