CTA Evaluation and Capacity Building Grant

The Community Tennis Association (CTA) Evaluation & Capacity Building Grant is offered each year to the Texas CTAs that are in good standing with USTA Texas. This updated grant is focused on evaluating our CTAs based on 5 main pillars (Structure, Non-Profit, Programming, Marketing/Communications and Diversity & Inclusion) that we use to measure their organizational standards and efforts in the past year. This updated Evaluation & Grant has replaced the health index. ADVERTISEMENT CTAs are encouraged to fill out or review the application as a group, consulting all staff and board of directors as you review your organization’s progress and plan for the future.

The intent of this funding program is two-fold:

1. To gain a better understanding of the CTA's functionality and provide customized insight on how they can improve with accountability.
2. To provide funding to further develop and enhance the basic off-court administrative functions and overall structure of your organization.

Please note that this year's application is solely offered through an online grant application. Refer to the documents below for grant guidelines, steps to complete this year's application and the link to the online grant portal. If you have questions regarding your application and grant details, please consult your Tennis Service Representative. If you are having issues with the grant portal, please contact Marcos Valdez at

Deadline: The deadline for the 2019 CTA Evaluation and Capacity Building Grant has passed. Below are the documents associated with the grant for 2019.
