Millennial Engagement Grant

The Millennial Engagement Grant is designed to attract younger volunteers of the millennial generation and help them learn more about being a USTA Texas volunteer. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about what it means to be a USTA Texas Volunteer by networking with hundreds of volunteers, CTA representatives and USTA Texas staff. We hope to better engage with our Millennial Generation and that participants will come away from the meeting informed, connected, and inspired to apply for a future USTA Texas Volunteer position. ADVERTISEMENT The meeting begins Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Omni Corpus Christi.

USTA Texas will award grants to those selected to offset some of the costs of attending the USTA Texas Semi-Annual Meeting. The grant amount will be determined and awarded on a case by case basis.

Grant recipients will be required to attend USTA Texas meeting sessions, connect with their local CTA (contacts will be provided by Alexandra Trobough) and share what they have learned to further benefit their local tennis community by August 31, 2018.

Deadline: Application deadline is May 18, 2018. Please submit your application to Alex Trobough by email at

CTA Evaluation and Capacity Building Grant

The Community Tennis Association (CTA) Evaluation & Capacity Building Grant is offered each year to the Texas CTAs that are in good standing with USTA Texas. This updated grant is focused on evaluating our CTAs based on 5 main pillars (Structure, Non-Profit, Programming, Marketing/Communications and Diversity & Inclusion) that we use to measure their organizational standards and efforts in the past year. This updated Evaluation & Grant will replace the Health Index. CTAs are encouraged to fill out or review the application as a group, consulting all staff and board of directors as you review your organization’s progress and plan for the future.

The intent of this funding program is two-fold:
1. To gain a better understanding of our CTAs functionality and provide customized insight on how they can improve.
2. To provide funding to further develop and enhance the basic off-court administrative functions and overall structure of your organization.

Please refer to the documents below for additional grant information and guidelines or contact Alex Trobough at

Deadline: The deadline for the 2018 CTA Evaluation and Capacity Building Grant has passed. The 2019 Grant process will open later this year.
