Adult Beginners' Program
The Adult Beginners' Program is organized twice a year and is exclusively aimed for adults, 18 & over, with a maximum level of 2.0, who have never played in the USTA Leagues and who have no previous game record.
What is 2.0?
This number indicates the skill level of a beginner tennis player, determined by the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP). According to the NTRP description, 2.0 players are characterized by the following:
- They need experience in the court
- They have difficulty finding an appropriate point of contact
- They need instructions to develop their strokes
- They are not familiarized with single and double positions
Teams and players that finish on the first or second place of any season qualify to play in the USTA Adult Leagues, at levels 2.5 or 3.0. Those who remain out of those positions, can participate once again.
