Flex Leagues

Great tennis on your terms! Now there's a tennis league that puts you in charge of the action. USTA Flex Leagues make it easy to schedule your matches on your terms and meet new people. Think of it as a city-wide singles tennis ladder where you choose the time and place you want to play. It's the perfect option for busy professionals to find players for the weekend, tennis fanatics looking to tune-up their singles game, newcomers to Columbus who don't know any players yet, student players getting back into match play, or beginning players (3.0) wanting to play matches for the first time.

More information:

  • Flights at all skill levels from 2.5-4.5
  • USTA members pay $25 and non-members pay $35 for 5-8 matches
  • Play anytime, anywhere
  • Session runs May 1-August 31

How to register for a Flex League:

*If you do not have a USTA Flex League account, click here and choose CREATE ACCOUNT, then follow the prompts.

  1.  Click here
  2.  If you have an account, use your USTA number/email address to login. TennisLink should redirect you to the Flex Leagues homepage.
  3.  Click REGISTER For a League in the lefthand column.
  4.  Choose STATE: OH METRO AREA: Columbus
  5.  Click "details" by the flight you choose. NTRP ratings don't apply. You can also mark the box that you are willing to play up a level.
  6.  Follow the prompts from there.
  7.  The registration fee is $25 for USTA members or $35 for Non-USTA members.

How to register a team:
Email susanstorrer@gmail.com the following information:

  1.  The name of the captain and the co-captain
  2.  Give the cell # and email of the captains
  3.  Provide how many home matches your team is able to host if you submit more than one team for that league.
  4.  Provide any dates that should be avoided scheduling at your club.

Examples:

  • How many home matches your team is able to host if you submit more than one team for that league: Combo men play Tuesday nights and Wickertree has three (3) teams but can only host two (2) home matches that night. So the third team will have to play away.
  • Provide any dates that should be avoided scheduling at your club: Muirfield should not host during the Memorial Tournament.

What happens next:

You will receive an email from TennisLink telling you that your personal match schedule is available online. Contact your opponents, decide on a convenient time and place to play, and complete your match. Report the scores after each match.

*We need 6 players to have a flight. If there aren't enough, I will contact you to ask if you are willing to play at a different level or I will cancel the level before the deadline so that you receive a refund.

Where are courts in Columbus?

Use the TennisMaps website, Columbus Recreation and Parks website, or GCTA links page. If you want to play at your club, please contact them directly to ask about reserving a court and court fees. We do not negotiate for you.
