Junior Sportsmanship Award

USTA Central Indiana values having match play and competitors that encompass integrity, respect, honesty and fairness. To emphasize the importance of good sportsmanship, the district has decided to create a quarterly sportsmanship award.

Each quarter, parents, competitors, coaches, viewers and tournament directors are invited to nominate any Central Indiana junior players exhibiting good sportsmanship during tournament play. A boy and a girl will be chosen based on nomination descriptions and observations made about their character. This new award allows USTA members to be honored every year with a plaque recognizing their outstanding achievement.

Nomination deadlines:
  • March 1
  • June 1
  • September 1
  • December 1
