In Rio at the 2016 Olympics, Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jack Sock won gold in the mixed doubles in an all-American final against Venus Williams and Rajeev Ram. Sock also teamed with Steve Johnson to capture bronze in the men's doubles. Venus now has five Olympic medals, including four gold.
To have the honor to represent the USA and win two medals is an exciting accomplishment.
I'm super proud of myself for my Grand Slam titles, but the Olympics is a different category altogether.
The victory was pretty special and pretty surreal. Definitely a moment we'll never forget.
It's been an amazing experience, five Olympics for me.
I think we love it more than anything. We don't do it for any other reason outside of pure joy.
It's an honor to be part of something so great.
