Social Tennis arrives at Monticello
On June 1st, young and adults from different parts of the island visited the Monticello Training Center in Cidra to enjoy the “Social Tennis”, an activity aimed especially at people with little or no experience in tennis.
Social tennis celebrates its 6th year, and this time the participants tried the red clay surface in a fun environment with music and good food. Each participant received a goodie bag as a souvenir and gratitude.
The game format was Team-up, where the player was assigned a random partner and they play points against other doubles team.
The Mélendez family (Vanellie, Javier Jr. and Sr.) collaborated in this activity together with Ricardo Maldonado as the Caribbean Tennis Service Representative.
With these activities, we are trying to connect more people with the sport of tennis, who not only see the competitive side, but also the fun and social side. Show them how we can keep exercising while we share in a healthy and fun environment with other people. Especially show them that tennis is the sport for a lifetime.
