Junior Players On The Rise!
The Municipal Sports Complex of Caguas, Puerto Rico, was the venue for the 2nd Youth Development Tournament of the year, which was held from March 15 -17, 2019.
Under the direction of Plinio Alfaro, 130 tennis players of beginner and intermediate level had the opportunity to start or continue their competitive experience.
In these Tournaments, 10U children play with the orange ball in 60 'x 21', while the 12U category play with the green dot ball in full court. The 14U and 18U players compete with the yellow ball.
Through this progression - with balls, rackets, nets and courts adjusted according to their age and level of play - children can enjoy better while learning to play tennis.
The next Youth Development Tournament will be on May 3-5, 2019 at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Beach Resort tennis courts in Rio Grande. For information pleae call 787-726-8782, ext. 227.
