The Mini Tennis Tour Arrives at Palmas
The Palmas Athletic Club in Humacao, PR received almost a hundred players from different towns of the Island, in celebration of the 2nd Mini Tennis Tour for kids of 12 years and under.
This round robin tournament aims at the enjoyment and the healthy competition of our youngest players. It was held from April 12 to 14 and had the direction and organization of Mr. Ignacio Rodríguez. The action began on Friday with the 8U and 10 & under categories, but due to the weather, it had to be finished on Sunday. The 12 and under participants competed on Saturday without any problem.
The Mini Tennis Tournaments are specialized events where courts, rackets, nets, and balls are adapted for the ages and abilities of each category. These tournaments are a fun way for kids to start in tennis and get them motivated to keep in the sport.
We want to congratulate the participants and their parents. These kids definitely will be the future of tennis in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
