The Mini Tennis Tour Is On!

February 25, 2019

On February 23, the Honda Tennis Center of Bayamon was packed with proud parents and relatives, who gathered to support the 140 children, aged 12 & under, who participated in the inaugural event of the Mini Tennis Tour 2019.

This tour provides a first opportunity for children who are getting started in tennis and want to test their skills with others of the same age and skill level.

On these events, the players play freely – without score - using adapted nets, rackets and balls, suited for their size and game skills.

 The participating categories were:

  • 8 years & under - Red Ball
  • 10 years & under - Orange Ball
  • 12 years & under - Green Dot Ball

Monica Carrasquillo directed this event, in collaboration with Gustavo Carrasquillo and Ricardo Arenas who served as leaders for orange and green dot categories.

The next stop of the Mini Tennis Tour event will be in Palmas Athletic Club in Humacao, Puerto Rico, from April 12 to 14, 2019.
