On March 30, 2019, near a hundred of children from Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands gathered at the Centro de Tenis Honda in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, to participate in the Junior Team Tennis One-Day Tournament for 10U and 12U players.

 

In a dynanic and fun environment, the participants were grouped by courts and play stations, where they had the opportunity to enjoy games and activities to develop their tennis skills. Each court was supervised by a leader, responsible watching the technique of every kid and encourage teamwork.

 

This event, led by Mónica Carrasquillo along with coaches Gustavo Carrasquillo, Diego Orro and Juanquí Saurí, used orange balls for the 10U group and the green dot ball for the 12U children.

 

The next team tennis event in the Caribbean will be the Intermediate Level League, which begins on September 7. ADVERTISEMENT The last day to register the minimum number of players is September 4 and the Captains' meeting will be on September 5 at the offices of the Caribbean Tennis Association in San juan, Puerto Rico.
