2026 Intermountain Summer Championships Recap

June 15, 2026

2026 Intermountain Summer Championships showcases top youth players

As 246 of the Intermountain Section's top players descended on the Mile High City for the 2026 Level 3 Summer Closed Championships, all eyes were turned towards the skies as the forecasted hot temperatures were mixed with potential thunderstorms.

Friday dawned hot and dry, as players took to the courts across the Denver metro area looking to stock up on valuable rankings points. The draws were filled predominantly with Colorado players hoping to gain an edge from the home court advantage, while juniors from Nevada, Utah and Idaho looked to stack up some wins on the road.

Special recognition goes to Lucas Celechovsky (Colorado) and Sofia Stahle (Utah), who were recognized by peers, coaches and tournament staff for their exceptional sportsmanship.

USTA Colorado extends its appreciation to all the players, parents and coaches who helped make the event a success. We would like to also extend our deep appreciation for the host facilities: Apex Recreation Center, City Park (Denver), Colorado Athletic Club Monaco, Denver Tennis Park, Holly Tennis Center, Ken Caryl Ranch House, Lebsack Tennis Center, and Lone Tree Tennis Center, Regis High School.

Finally, USTA Colorado thanks our tremendous site staff and tournament officials, without whom this event could not be held.

We look forward to seeing you all back in Denver in 2027.

Congratulations to the Colorado contingent who secured numerous titles and top positions
