ANONYMOUS DONOR GIFT
DOUBLES THE IMPACT
May 10, 2019

USTA Mid-Atlantic Section is thrilled to announce that an anonymous donor in the region has generously given a matching gift that will double the impact of all donations to USTA Mid-Atlantic Section up to $10,000 in 2019.
As a non-profit charitable organization, USTA Mid-Atlantic helps people and communities grow stronger, healthier, and more connected through tennis. The organization aims to make tennis the most accessible sport in the region and wants everyone to have the opportunity to experience the lifelong benefits of tennis.
Generous support and donations from tennis players, enthusiasts, families, volunteers, partners, and friends help the non-profit succeed on the mission to promote and develop the growth of tennis, and enables the delivery of tennis programs to help positively change lives and local communities.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of this matching gift and are encouraged by the potential it has to increase our impact through our charitable programs,” says Beth Twomey chief advancement officer of USTA Mid-Atlantic Section. “We are thankful for this and every donation, no matter the size, as it signifies the importance of our mission and efforts to address the need for more tennis opportunities, especially for children.”
Individuals that make a tax-deductible donation to support USTA Mid-Atlantic will have their contribution matched up to a total of $10,000. USTA Mid-Atlantic encourages those considering donating to do so now to take advantage of this matching opportunity and maximize the impact of their gift.
USTA Mid-Atlantic leverages donations to support their charitable programs which include:
After School Tennis and Summer Camp Programs for children that may not ever have the chance to learn the sport. This program has reached more than 10,000 youth since its inception in 2016;
Scholarships for high-performance junior players with financial need so that players can pursue competition and gain leadership skills; and
Safe Places to Play Grants that enable local communities to refurbish or build tennis infrastructure so that there are more places to play and learn the game.
Donate today to double your impact and spread joy beyond the net in the Mid-Atlantic through tennis.
