Top Resources for League Players

What tennis players typically say they love most about the sport is the journey; the opportunity to constantly learn, change and grow while having fun. While everyone’s journey is different, most players agree that having a solid list of go-to tennis resources to turn to can be super helpful along that journey!  


So, we asked around the USTA Mid-Atlantic staff that are avid players to find out the go-to resources they turn to for information on improving their game, getting info on the latest gear and more. We’ve compiled the responses into a shortlist of resources that you can refer to as you travel along your tennis road. Check it out and let us know if you have resources to add too!


Bookmark usta.com! This should be your first stop for your tennis needs. USTA.com not only provides information on leagues and tournaments, but it also features articles on fitness, finding the right gear, “What’s the Call” rules questions, and tips and instruction. Essential Tennis (essentialtennis.com)

For anyone who loves playing tennis, Essential Tennis is the go-to site for instruction. Their website and YouTube channel offer instructional videos for tennis players at all levels. Most of their content is free but they do offer premium content for a fee. 



Fuzzy Yellow Balls (fuzzyyellowballs.com)

Fuzzy Yellow Balls is a website dedicated to helping you play better tennis. Whether you play singles or doubles, Fuzzy Yellow Balls website and YouTube channel have tips and strategies that will help you on the court.



Tennis Files (tennisfiles.com)

Tennis tips, news, and podcast from a Mid-Atlantic local. With articles on Strategy and Techniques such as “How to Handle the Pressure on Big Points” and  “Groundstroke Killer: Leaning Back” readers get easily convertible tactics to improve their game. 



Tennis Now (tennisnow.com)

Want the latest tennis news? Then Tennis Now is the place to go for the most up-to-date stories in the tennis world. Follow your favorite ATP & WTA players, get live tournament scores, and watch featured videos all in one place.
