Huaxia Chinese School of Lehigh Valley Celebrates Tennis

Earlier this month we had the pleasure of joining the Huaxia Chinese School of Lehigh Valley Tennis Club as it hosted its 100 Set Challenge, celebrating the USTA Middle States 100 Year Anniversary. The event took place at Parkland High School in Allentown, Pa.

The school community was established in 1998 by a group of local Chinese residents who wanted to pass to their children their traditions, language and character traits. Culture learning classes take place at Northampton Community College (NCC) with roughly 500 people enrolled. People of all ages and backgrounds with an interest and appreciation for Chinese culture are encouraged to enroll.

The Tennis Club was created five years ago after parents needed something to do while their children were in class. Now the club provides clinics, match play, and social events like the 100 Sets Challenge.

Congrats to this group for such a great five years! Here's to lots more tennis to come.
