2018 Indiana Sports Corp Pathfinder Awards

October 23, 2018

The annual fundraising event will be held at the majestic Indiana Roof Ballroom on November 13, 2018 and will honor national Pathfinder, Andy Roddick and Indiana Pathfinder Rajeev Ram.

Throughout his career and after retiring from professional tennis, Roddick dedicated his time and treasure to the Andy Roddick Foundation. His Austin, Texas-based non-profit creates programs for kids to participate and take the time they spend outside of the classroom and turn it into real opportunities. The Foundation creates new chances for underserved kids to grow in literacy, STEM, art, and sports––all during months and times of day when statistics show they’re typically most at risk of falling behind.

Roddick launched the Foundation at age 18, shortly after turning pro before his career skyrocketed. Over the course of Roddick’s career, he won the 2003 U.S. Open and 32 tour-level singles titles including five Masters Series titles and two Indianapolis Tennis Championships at the RCA Dome. Roddick reached four other Grand Slam finals (Wimbledon 2004, 2005 and 2009, and the US Open in 2006) and was ranked in the top 10 for nine consecutive years from 2002-2011. He was later inducted into the International Hall of Fame in July 2017, after retiring in 2012.

Ram graduated from Carmel High School in 2002 and continued his tennis career at the University of Illinois. After winning an NCAA team championship in his first collegiate season, Ram decided to launch his professional tennis career in 2004. Ram’s many accolades on the court include a silver medal in mixed doubles with Venus Williams at the 2016 Rio Olympics, singles championships in 2009 and 2015 at the Hall of Fame Championships and a doubles championship at the 2017 Indian Wells Masters.

In 2010, Ram founded EntouRaj for Kids to give back to the tennis community and youth in the Indianapolis area. His foundation works with local high schoolers and some of the top performing juniors in the community.

In support of the Indiana Sports Corp Mission, tables of 10 seats are available for $2,500 and individual tickets can be purchased for $250. Secure your spot at www.eventbrite.com/e/2018-indiana-sports-corp-pathfinder-award-luncheon-tickets-50135964018
