USTA Central Indiana and IndyTennis Attend 2022 Indy Pride Festival
USTA Central Indiana took part in the 2022 Indianapolis Pride Festival presented by Salesforce, Saturday, on June 11th. The District set up a booth in the family fun zone and gave away tennis goodies! IndyTennis joined the booth. A nonprofit social tennis group, IndyTennis is an extended arm of the Indiana AIDS Fund, and an affiliate of both the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance and USTA.
Together, both organizations provided information on USTA League tennis and social play opportunities! “We talked to many people who had played tennis in the past and are wanting a friendly, casual way back into the game,” said Karen Griffiths, Adult League Coordinator for USTA Central Indiana.
Griffiths looks forward to USTA’s participation again next year. “We loved being a part of such a wonderful event. It was so exciting to celebrate people from all walks of life.”
