2023 REMINDERS
As we get ready for the new year, don't forget that some of our elevated junior tournament policies are changing.
Review the highlights:
Dual & Late Entry Policy
- Late entries will NOT be allowed in any elevated tournament for any reason, regardless of whether a draw is full.
- These tournaments will continue to enforce our Zero Tolerance Policy. This pertains to any and all spectators and their behavior at elevated tournaments.
Open Level 5s
- For Open Level 5s specifically, players will NOT be permitted to register for multiple age divisions or locations on any given weekend.
- To increase consistency among our tournaments, we have added specific Open Level 5 date blocks and have standardized the draw sizes to 24 or 16 players. You can view the date blocks with entry limits on our 2023 Elevated Junior Tournament Schedule.
Hybrid System
- Our hybrid player selection and seeding system has updated ratios and now incorporates WTN. You can view that information HERE.
If you have any questions at all regarding the elevated schedule or its policies, please reach out to jrtourney@midwest.usta.com.

JUNIOR RECOGNIZED BY MONEY MAGAZINE
Kriti Sarav from the Chicago District was named a changemaker by
Money Magazine. The former Team Cup competitor was highlighted as one of, “50 influential figures shaping Americans’ finances — today and beyond,” with people such as Alex Ohanian (Serena Williams' husband), Lil Nas X and U.S. Treasurer, Chief Lynn Malerba.
Sarav was recognized for her podcast, WhyFI Matter$, which aims to demystify personal finance for her peers. Her interest in economic issues spawned, in part, by her passion for tennis as she began paying attention to equal pay issues for female tennis players. You can listen to her podcast on Spotify.
