Mark Saunders Retires as USTA Midwest CEO
Celebrating Mark Saunders
Mark Saunders, USTA Midwest CEO and Executive Director, has announced his retirement effective at the end of this year.
In 1990, the USTA began a player development program and Saunders, who coached some nationally ranked juniors, was appointed Director of Player Development for the Midwest Section. He was named the section's fourth Executive Director on April 18, 1996.
"I have been fortunate to have been able to work in one of the greatest jobs in the tennis industry. It has been an incredible experience, and I have been privileged to have been surrounded by many remarkable volunteers and staff over the years," Saunders said.
We are incredibly grateful for the significant contributions Mark has made to tennis throughout his career. Please join us in wishing him congratulations on a well-deserved retirement.
Saunders will be inducted into the 2022 USTA Midwest Hall of Fame on Saturday, Februay 11, 2023 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.
