Ohio Valley Executive Director Retires

Dave Engle retired as the Executive Director of the Ohio Valley (OVTA) district of the USTA Midwest section on May 31, 2022. We would like to thank Dave for his years of service to the OVTA; his accomplishments as Executive Director can never be measured. You can’t thank Dave without mentioning Joyce and her contributions to our district. Happy retirement, Dave!

The district would like to welcome Jim Amick as the new OVTA Executive Director. Many of you have worked with Jim in some capacity since he started with the USTA Midwest in 2005. Jim has held several positions in the section starting with Tennis Service Representative (TSR) for eight years covering Ohio and West Virginia. Jim was the Tennis Service Representative Manager for two years and most recently served as the Director of Sales, Diversity and Industry Relations.  

Jim has worked in the tennis industry for thirty-four years. In addition to his time with the USTA, he served as a Director of Tennis, Director of Junior Development and a tennis coach. He is a certified USPTA Elite professional, and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management.
