May 08, 2020

Introducing USTA Missouri Valley QuaranTeam League!
Are you missing playing tennis on a team as much as we are?  In times like these, we have realized how much our teammates and tennis have played such a key role in our mental and physical well-being. We have come up with a fun way to connect with your teammates and your favorite sport until organized play can return!

What is it? A virtual representation of Junior Team Tennis, Tennis on Campus and Adult Leagues!  You will get to play with teams from across the section!  In this 3-week online league season, socially-distant teams will virtually compete in three (3) challenge categories, designed to test your fitness and tennis skill abilities as well as your creativity.  The 3 challenge categories can be found below along with examples of what to expect:

  • Week 1 - Team Video and Gratitude Challenge:

    • Teams will work together virtually to create a video that represents who you are!

    • Teams will work together virtually to thank a member of their community and or complete  an act of kindness. Teams will submit their best photos & videos.

  • Week 2 - Tennis Skills Challenge:

  • Week 3 - Fitness Challenge:

Teams will complete each weekly challenge for points! At the end of the 3-week season, we will crown 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams in our QuaranTeam League!

How to Get Started?

  1. Find a group of 4 or more “players” you would like to participate in the challenge.  Your team can include players, coaches, your siblings, parents, or neighbors, there are no age restrictions!  Have fun with it! (Maximum of 10 players per virtual team)

  2. Pick a Team Captain. This person will fill out the roster below and make sure all team videos and posts use the proper tags on social media so that we can see them!

  3. Complete your team challenges each week, have fun, be creative and use the proper tags!
