League Section Champs in Topeka By The Numbers

The 40 & Over Men’s and Women’s 3.5 and 4.5 USTA League Section Championships were hosted by USTA Kansas at Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka, Kansas on September 5-8.

 

The event drew players from all across the Missouri Valley as well as supportive spectators. A breakdown of the numbers shows just how much time and effort was put forth by the staff, volunteers, and players involved in this event. 

 

By the Numbers:

344 players

18 courts

58 matches

870 tennis balls

4 winning teams

 

The four winning teams were Pam Cowan’s Women’s 3.5 Heart of America team, Elden Emmons’ Men’s 3.5 Oklahoma team, Daniel Sloboth’s Men’s 4.5 Nebraska team and Jennifer Allison’s Women’s 4.5 Nebraska team. These players will represent Missouri Valley during the USTA League National Championships in October.
