Let Your Game Take Flight at the 2023 Wichita AirCapital Open

Sydney Hamilton | June 29, 2023

The final tournament in the MoKanNeb Adult Tournament Series is just around the corner, and we’re gearing up for some high-level competition as we close out another successful year of this popular series. The Wichita AirCapital Open (formerly the Wichita MTC Open) lands at Ralph Wulz Riverside Tennis Center in Wichita July 29-30. This Level 5 event is open to all Open-rated entrants in Men’s and Women’s Singles and Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles. Trophies will be awarded to first- and second-place finishers in each division.

As part of the MoKanNeb Series, points accumulated during this tournament will catapult players closer to their shot at $500 in prize money. If a player has participated in three of the four tournaments of the series, they’re eligible for the cash, and the male and female players with the most points at the end of the series–so, after the Wichita AirCapital Open–will take home that money. So, as you can see, a lot is at stake for these players.

Players are also eligible for other prizes, too, as part of the “Tournament Trailblazers” initiative. If you’ve played in a minimum of three USTA Missouri Valley adult tournaments, you can earn the following swag:

Bronze Category (3-4 tournaments): USTA towel

Silver Category (5-6 tournaments): Tennis Warehouse gift card

Gold Category (7+ tournaments): Entered into a drawing for a three-day adult Tennis Experience camp at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, FL.

Good luck to all players participating in the Wichita AirCapital Open, and thank you for making the 2023 MoKanNeb Series one for the record books. We appreciate you all, and can’t wait to see what next year brings!
