National Tennis Month Events in Kansas

Sydney Hamilton | April 05, 2023

May is National Tennis Month, and we’re thrilled to share some info on upcoming events celebrating this sport we love so much. Check out the following events taking place throughout our state next month!

-Kansas is full of tennis players of all ages and skill levels, so it’s only fitting that Mayor Brandon Whipple of Wichita declare May officially as National Tennis Month in the city. On Tuesday, May 16, the mayor will make his official declaration at Nomar Plaza in Wichita. USTA Kansas president Cary Morris and other local tennis players and fans will be on-hand to receive the proclamation and join the celebration.

-On May 12-13, the Winfield-T.H. Vaughan Tennis Center in Winfield and Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka will host the Kansas Boys State High School Tennis Championships. Click here for more info.

-Genesis Health Club-Rock Road in Wichita will be hosting its Adult Tennis Camps at their facility May 16-20. Stop by the club to learn more.

-Genesis Health Club-West Central in Wichita will be hosting another camp–the Play Tennis Fast Free Week–at its facility May 16-22. You can learn more by paying them a visit.
