Tri-Level Leagues Give New Dimension to Game

Julie McQueeny | August 25, 2021

One USTA Kansas Tri-level adult league is in full swing right now. It's been quite the challenge to get this league scheduled due to the many scheduling conflicts with other tennis events. A good problem to have!

Registration for the USTA Kansas Mixed Tri-Level league will be open after the USTA Missouri Valley 40 & Over Section Championship held at Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka. Notices via TennisLink communicator will be sent out around September 1. There will be a captain's meeting before the beginning of this new league, as well.

Tri-Level is a format consisting of three doubles positions, each at a different NTRP level to form the team (ex: 3.5, 4.0, 4.5).

Amy Mathew, USTA Kansas League Coordinator, said there is a lot of excitement surrounding this new league because people really seem to enjoy the mixed level aspect and having fun with all of their friends across many levels of play.

“I'm really looking forward to getting this started,” Mathew said.
