Cooper Tennis Complex Hosts Adaptive Tennis Event
Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield recently hosted an adaptive tennis event for all to attend. It was another initiative from City of Springfield Community Sports Coordinator Anelisse Garner to get tennis into the community and make it more accessible for anyone interested in the game.
22 participants showed up for the night of fun and games. There were drills and some teaching, but the focus was on fun. Eight staff members and 10 volunteers helped the event run smoothly, including some members of the Missouri State University women's tennis team who "buddied up" with the participants.
Please see below for some pictures of the event.
