Happy Holidays from USTA Nebraska
I have been playing tennis since I received a tennis racquet for Christmas when I was 11 years old. Forty-some years later I am still playing—although with a different racquet.
Tennis is our family sport. My husband of over 30 years plays, and my three children have been playing since they were young. I truly believe tennis is one of the keys to a long and happy life. The friendships and the physical and mental wellness that come with the sport are invaluable.
The year 2024 has been an exciting one for tennis in Nebraska. We’ve seen new courts being built and reconstructed across the state as well as an introduction of new officials. There will be plenty of play opportunities in 2025 for players to showcase their talents and enjoy the game. I hope to see you out on the courts.
Best,
Lisa Thomas
USTA Nebraska Executive Director
