Volunteers rally to revive tennis courts in Lincoln
Members of the Lincoln Tennis Association (LTA) rolled up their sleeves and got to work sprucing up some tennis courts earlier this month. In conjunction with the City of Lincoln, the LTA was able to not only clean up two courts and paint new lines, but also construct a backboard at Henry Park in southeast Lincoln.
This was the first community outreach event of the year for the LTA. The Lincoln Tennis Association is one of USTA Nebraska’s oldest Community Tennis Associations (CTAs) and recently elected a new president, John Lefler. The organization is in the midst of planning its next big event, Play Tennis Lincoln, which is slated for the fall.
