Nebraska Teams Make Splash at Section Championships

 

A number of USTA Adult League teams in Nebraska made it to the USTA Missouri Valley Section Championships in August. After winning a championship, three Nebraska teams are heading to the USTA Adult League National Championships in Phoenix. 

 

One team is the Veitzer 18 & Over 10.0 Mixed team. The team is excited for the experience. The Buckley team won a Section Championship in the 18 & Over 5.0 Men's division. 

 

“I’ve only been to Nationals once so I will never take it for granted,” said Rick Stempson, member of the Veitzer team. “It’s pretty cool to play against people from all over the country.” 

 

The 18 & Over 5.0 team captained by Buckley is also heading to Nationals after winning their Section Championships. In the 40 & Over division, Allison/Wyse captured the title in 4.5 women's division, the Holbrook 4.0 team is also headed to Nationals, as is the 4.5 men's team of Betts. 

 

In 18 & Over Mixed, Allison/Betts captured a Section title by winning the 9.0 division.
