Andrea Gallagher | April 26, 2024

Two upcoming training sessions will be held for individuals interested in becoming a tennis official and for those who already work in the role. The USTA Missouri Valley and the Nebraska Tennis Association will provide in-person officials training on the following dates at Woods Tennis Center in Lincoln.

  • Roving Umpires: Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Referees: Sunday, June 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

These are also classroom sessions for certified USTA officials and prospective officials. There is no charge to attend these sessions and lunch is provided. The registration deadlines are May 25 and May 26 to sign up for the June training sessions.

“A great opportunity for newer (or prospective) officials but also a great reminder opportunity for those more longer-term officials,” said Mike Martin, USTA Nebraska officials chair.
