Norman hosting Pro Circuit event
The Norman Open, a USTA Pro Circuit with $25,000 in prize money will begin Saturday, November 10, 2018 and go through Sunday, November 18. The Norman Open will be held at The Gregg Wadley Tennis Pavilion and the Headington Family Tennis Center on the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman, Oklahoma.
Besides creating opportunities to inspire and entertain new and seasoned lovers of the game, the Norman Open goal is to bring professional tennis to Norman and create a following for the next generation of players.
The Headington Family Tennis Center highlights of the 55,000 square-foot facility include six air-conditioned courts, championship-quality lighting and surface, and approximately 375 chair-back seats for spectators. With 12 outdoor courts, Oklahoma has one of the finest outdoor tennis facilities in the Big 12 conference.
The main purpose of this is to offer the players the best opportunity to compete at the highest level and showcase elite tennis and future grand slam champions. Come out and enjoy watching some great tennis and support the USTA Pro Circuit at the Norman Open!
The USTA Pro Circuit was founded in 1979 and is the largest, most comprehensive developmental professional tennis circuit in the world.
Over 100 events, hosting over 2,000 international men and women’s players, are held across the country each year awarding from $10,000 to $100,000 in prize money per tournament and WTA/ATP ranking points.
