Bill Rompf Foundation's final serve: Donations power future of Oklahoma tennis

Tony Mullican | April 17, 2026

Across the state of Oklahoma, the game of tennis continues to grow not only in participation but in purpose, character and community. At the heart of that growth stands a remarkable legacy of giving, embodied by the Bill Rompf Junior Tennis Foundation and its founder, Bill Rompf.

As the Bill Rompf Junior Tennis Foundation comes to a close, it does so with intention, ensuring its impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.

In a powerful final act of generosity, the Bill Rompf Junior Tennis Foundation provided meaningful donations to three organizations that are shaping the present and future of tennis in Oklahoma: the Oklahoma Tennis Foundation, First Serve OKC and Play it Forward Tennis Foundation.

While this marks the conclusion of the Bill Rompf Junior Tennis Foundation’s formal work, it also represents the continuation of its mission, placing resources directly into the hands of organizations that will carry that vision forward.

Through Rompf’s dedication, countless student-athletes have grown not only as players but as leaders and individuals.

His influence has helped elevate tennis in Oklahoma, opening doors for players to pursue collegiate careers and remain connected to the sport for a lifetime.

As the Bill Rompf Junior Tennis Foundation concludes, its legacy is firmly rooted in the organizations it now supports.

Each of these groups shares a commitment to access, development and community impact, ensuring the values championed by Bill Rompf will continue to thrive.

The Bill Rompf Junior Tennis Foundation’s spirit and purpose live on through the players, programs and communities it has touched.
