At the University of Oklahoma, Ritchie continued her success by winning the Big 12 doubles championship, the 2013 USTA/ITA Central Region doubles championship and the 2011 ITA Central Region championship. She earned All-American Big 12 honors three consecutive years.

She posted an 11-0 record at No. 2 singles and a 19-3 overall singles record. She became a collegiate All-American and OU’s winningest doubles player with 95 career victories.

In her fifth year, she joined Sherri Coale’s OU women’s basketball team as captain, further demonstrating her leadership and versatility.

Since graduation, Ritchie has dedicated herself to growing tennis in Oklahoma through coaching and mentorship. She has helped junior players achieve USTA Missouri Valley, USTA Oklahoma and national success. She has also won three USTA Gold Balls and one Silver Ball with her father, Tim, at the USTA Father-Daughter National Championships.

Her impact as a coach and community leader has been recognized with the 2017 USPTA Under 30 Missouri Valley Professional of the Year Award and the 2021 High-Performance Coach of the Year Award. Ritchie’s legacy extends beyond championships to mentorship, leadership, friendship and service, making her an exceptional inductee for the Oklahoma Tennis Hall of Fame.

Christopher Martin

Martin had an exceptional junior tennis career, including membership on the Cascia Hall middle school state championship team. Martin earned top national and international rankings as well as championships across the Boys 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s divisions.

Highlights include being ranked No. 1 in Oklahoma and the United States in Boys 14s singles and doubles and winning the National Clay Court Championships in singles and doubles with Andy Roddick. Martin also won an Easter Bowl doubles championship with Roddick. Martin was selected to represent the U.S. in the World Youth Cup.

In the Boys 16s and 18s divisions, Martin won a national indoor doubles championship, an international hard court doubles championship and reached the Kalamazoo national quarterfinals. He competed in the ITF junior Australian, French and US opens, achieved an ITF junior ranking in the top 20 in singles and doubles, and won multiple ITF junior doubles titles.

From 2001-05 Martin played collegiate tennis at the University of Illinois, where he clinched the 2003 NCAA Division I National Championship match against Vanderbilt.

He earned NCAA All-Tournament Team honors, competed on the 2003 and 2004 ITA Division I National Men’s Indoor Championship teams and was part of four consecutive Big Ten regular-season and tournament championship teams. Illinois went 52-0 in Big Ten play during his tenure.

He also won the 2003 ITA Summer National Championship in both singles and doubles and was named 2002 ITA Summer Circuit Player of the Year. His honors include four USTA Gold Balls and one Silver Ball in junior tennis, three consecutive Academic All-American selections (2003-05), the 2003 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, the University of Illinois George Huff Award and the 2005 Fighting Illini Spirit Award.

His professional tennis career was limited by a lumbar disc injury that prevented him from completing a full year on tour, though he earned several ATP points while competing in Futures and Challengers. He also recorded career wins over Roddick and Mardy Fish as well as doubles wins over John Isner and Guillermo Coria.

These accomplishments reflect an extraordinary career of excellence, perseverance, sportsmanship and achievement at the junior, collegiate and professional levels, making Martin highly deserving of induction into the hall of fame.
