Graydon Lair—2019 Male Junior Player of the Year

The USTA Oklahoma 2019 Male Junior Player of the Year is Graydon Lair. 

 

Lair was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he started playing tennis at the age of 4 at the Tucker Tennis Academy.

 

Not only has Graydon grown into one of the top junior players in Oklahoma and the Missouri Valley, but he has also developed into a well-respected and overall good person.

 

Graydon won the Oklahoma High School State title in singles while attending Jenks High School in addition to his numerous USTA achievements.

 

Lair holds the Boys 18 National ranking of 40 and is ranked #1 in USTA Missouri Valley Boys 18s. Lair won the Summer Supers and Sweet 16.

 

He also reached the round of 16s at the National Indoor Championships and was selected for the USTA Missouri Valley team at the 18s National Team Championships. 

 

He is a hard-working, dedicated tennis player who sets his goals high. These attributes will guide him to a great college career playing tennis at Michigan State University in the fall.
