Spring Junior Team Tennis Kickoff

March 05, 2020

Spring Junior Team Tennis in Tulsa, Oklahoma just kicked off the 2020 season on March 1 at LaFortune Park Tennis Center, with over 100 excited tennis players.  The sun was out and the weather was perfect as the players battled out their first spring team match.

Before match play, Tara Williams from USTA Missouri Valley and Casey McKenzie from USTA Oklahoma held a Junior Team Tennis/Net Generation Parent meeting at LaFortune sharing information regarding USTA junior tennis and answering any questions regarding spring tennis.

In Tulsa, there are 16 teams that will play on Sundays at 2 PM until April 19.

It is not too late to join a team if you are interested! Please contact mckenzie@ustaoklahoma.com if you are interested in finding a team this spring, summer, or fall.

Why Junior Team Tennis?

Beyond being fun and a great form of exercise, Junior Team Tennis is a competitive, level-based environment that promotes individual growth, social growth and life skills.

With Junior Team Tennis, players will learn about unity, sportsmanship and how to work together to achieve success. They’ll also learn that success isn’t just about winning; it’s about how you play the game and respond to challenges.
