Happy New Year, USTA St. Louis!
Happy New Year, everyone!
It’s hard to believe that 2025 is already here! As we kick off the new year, I want to take a moment to share our goals for USTA St. Louis in 2025.
Our mission remains steadfast—to grow the game of tennis and make it accessible to everyone. We are committed to finding innovative ways to reach more people and expand tennis opportunities across our community.
Key Goals for 2025
Introduce Red Ball Tennis: A fun and accessible way for both returning players and beginners to get involved in the game. Played on a smaller court with a lower-compression ball and shorter racquets, it’s the perfect low-barrier entry point into tennis!
Grow our officiating staff: A fantastic opportunity to give back to the sport while earning money. We’re looking to expand our team of officials to support more events. To learn more about becoming a tennis official, click here.
Increase participation in wheelchair and adaptive tennis: We aim to provide more opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities to enjoy tennis, ensuring the sport is inclusive and accessible to everyone.
In addition to these goals, we will continue our work to revitalize existing courts and support projects to build new ones. We will also focus on developing more volunteer-driven initiatives to ensure tennis remains a vibrant and inclusive part of our community.
We’re also excited to welcome our new board of directors for the 2025-26 term! Their leadership and vision will be crucial as we continue to grow and improve tennis in our district. We look forward to the contributions they will make and the guidance they will provide USTA St. Louis during the next two years.
We truly value the passion and dedication of our members, and we encourage you to get involved and help us achieve our goals. Whether you’re interested in volunteering, coaching, officiating or simply supporting our programs, your involvement can make a significant impact. Together, we can help grow the game, foster new talent and make tennis more accessible for everyone. After all, it takes a village, and we are stronger when we work together!
We’re excited for what 2025 has in store and look forward to another fantastic year of tennis in USTA St. Louis. We hope you’ll join us on this exciting journey!
Best wishes for a successful and joyful year ahead!
