USTA National Campus awarded NCAA Division I Tennis Championships in 2027-28

October 02, 2024

The NCAA announced Wednesday that the USTA National Campus will host the 2027 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships and the 2028 NCAA DI Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships. The University of Central Florida (UCF) will serve as the host institution as the USTA National Campus will host the NCAA DI Tennis Championships for the fourth time.

As part of the NCAA’s previously announced plan to separate the annual team and individual tennis championship events beginning with the 2024-25 season, the USTA National Campus has also committed to host the 2025 NCAA DI Men’s and Women’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships next fall.

The Campus most recently hosted the 2023 NCAA DI, DII, and DIII Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships, which marked the first time in NCAA history that all three divisions competed for men's and women's season-ending trophies—in any sport—at a single site. The Lake Nona facility also previously hosted the NCAA DI Tennis Championships in 2019 and 2021.

The 2019 DI team titles were won by the Texas men and the Stanford women, while the Florida men and Texas women claimed the 2021 team trophies at the Campus. Americans Ben Shelton and Peyton Stearns were key parts of those 2021 Florida and Texas teams, respectively.

The team titles at the historic 2023 event went to North Carolina (DI women), Virginia (DI men), Barry University (DII women and men), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College (DIII women), Case Western Reserve University (DIII men).
