January L3 Super Six Singles Championships
WESTBOROUGH, MA- As January wrapped up, so did the first New England L3 Super Six Championship of 2018. From January 27-28, high performance juniors competed for a shot at singles championships at eight host sites throughout the section. The singles championships closed out a January chock-full of Super Six events, beginning with the L3 Doubles Championships (Jan. 13-14) as well as the first L3 Singles qualifier of the year (Jan. 19-21).
February will feature NE L4 Super Six Championships, L5 NE Championships as well as L2 National Selection Tournaments.

The Friendship Cup has a rich history and successful story of establishing international camaraderie and sisterhood both on and off the court. The tradition started in 1967 when Walter Foeger of Vermont was looking to establish competitive senior tennis play in alliance with the New England Lawn Tennis Association (NELTA), now USTA New England. He contacted George Barta of the Canadian senior division, and together, they created the Friendship Cup. In that year, players competed on three courts at the Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. Read More
