Juniors Wrap Up Year With L4 Super Six Titles
WESTBOROUGH, MA- New England Juniors in the 18s and 16s divisions wrapped up their Super Six schedules with the final L4 event of the year. The top juniors competed in the December L4 Championships from December 15-16 at four clubs throughout New England.
The International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI hosted the Boys’ 18s championship and the Stamford Indoor Tennis Club in Stamford, CT was home to the Girls’ 18s matches. No. 1 seed Daniel Milavsky was crowned champion in the Boys’ 18 division after defeating the No. 2 seed Nicholas Condos, 6-2, 6-2. On the girls’ side, Nastasya Semenovski upset No. 2 seed Iris Gallo, 7-5, 7-5, to win the Girls’ 18s championship.
The Boys’ 16s draws were held at the East Hartford Racquet Club in East Hartford, CT, while the Manchester Athletic Club in Manchester, MA hosted the Girls’ 16s matches. No. 4 seed Kyle McCandless upset the No. 3 seed Joshua Israel, 6-4, 6-3, to capture the Boys’ 16s title. For the Girls’ 16s, it was Bayley Sheinin who took home the championship after defeating Sahana Raman, 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.
