NEW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR NATIONAL JUNIOR TENNIS AND LEARNING (NJTL) CHAPTER STUDENTS
NJTLs are non-profit organizations that provide afterschool and summer tennis and education programs in underserved communities across the six New England States.
WESTBOROUGH, MA- USTA New England is excited to announce a summer camp scholarship program for NJTL youth in partnership with Nike Tennis Camps, Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy Camps and adidas Tennis Camps.
The scholarships are exclusively available for active students enrolled in one of the 17 New England National Junior Tennis and Learning chapters.
“There are more than 7,800 underrepresented youth in the NJTL network in our region. This opportunity will provide scholarships to students that otherwise may not have access to these unique experiences. We are thrilled to extend this program to the NJTL chapters this year,” said Mavi Sanchez-Skakle, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for USTA New England.
There are nine scholarships available this summer with a combination of weeklong day camps and overnight camps for all ability levels.
If you are an NJTL parent or student, please reach out to Mavi Sanchez-Skakle at mavi.sanchez-skakle@newengland.usta.com or your organization's leader to learn more and apply today. Applications are due May 19th.
