USTA NEW ENGLAND ELECTS NEW BOARD
The Board is responsible for setting the strategic vision of the organization
WESTBOROUGH, MA - The U.S. Tennis Association of New England’s new Board of Directors was elected and began its term on January 20, 2024.
The new Board is led by President Adam Molda, who is taking over immediate Past President, David Champoux, who served the last three years. Molda is the former 1st Vice President.
“I believe that tennis can make a profound impact on people’s lives. I have experienced this throughout my career in tennis. I am excited to serve for the next three years because I believe in USTA New England’s mission to positively impact people through tennis,” Molda said. “I look forward to working with the talented staff, the passionate volunteers, and the entire tennis community on our united mission to grow the game of tennis.”
The 18-person board features tennis enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds representing all areas of New England. Members will serve a three-year term through 2026. New members are: Jennifer Driscoll, Secretary; Miyako Kinoshita, Connecticut State Delegate; Mason Bultje, Delegate-At-Large; Bill Mountford, Delegate-At-Large; and William “Bud” Schultz, Delegate-At-Large.
The Board is responsible for setting the strategic vision for the section as well as accepting policy recommendations from various committees and the Executive Director. The group is also the final authority on all policy matters of USTA New England.

Officers
President - Adam Molda, Salisbury, MA
Molda is an accomplished tennis professional with more than 30 years of experience in the sport. He is the Owner of Spark Fitness and Tennis Club, where he continues to foster his passion for tennis and community development. His impressive list of accolades includes awards, such as the 2022 USTA New England Organization of the Year, which reflects his commitment to excellence.
In addition to his extensive career, Adam is an active volunteer in the tennis community. He has served on multiple boards, including three terms on the USTA New England Board of Directors, where he held various leadership positions, and as a founder and board member of Serving Stars NJTL.
1st Vice President - Geoffrey Swire, Sudbury, MA
Swire is a second-time officer who recently completed his term as 2nd Vice President. His tennis journey began at age 10, progressing through USTA tournaments, high school, college, and adult league tennis. His passion for the sport led to him becoming a tennis instructor during high school and volunteering as a coach for underprivileged children at the Albany YMCA.
As a parent of two daughters involved in junior and college tennis, Geoffrey's personal experiences drove him to contribute more to the tennis community. This is his third consecutive term serving on the Board.
Beyond his volunteer work, Geoffrey brings over 20 years of executive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, offering valuable business insight to his passion for tennis.
2nd Vice President - Toni Wiley, Dorchester, MA
Wiley is a dynamic force in the world of tennis, with a rich history of dedication and leadership in both the sport and the nonprofit sector.
With an impressive 15-year tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of Sportsmen's Tennis & Enrichment Center, Wiley has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the tennis community. Her journey with tennis includes active participation in League play and service as Secretary of both the American Tennis Association National Board and the USTA New England Board.
Throughout her career, Wiley has held several pivotal roles in various organizations. She previously served as the Executive Director of One Family, Inc., focusing on ending family homelessness, and as the Chief Operating Officer of Jane Doe, Inc., the Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. Her professional journey also encompasses experiences in the corporate world, including positions at Stride Rite Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, New Balance Athletic Shoe Company, and TJX Companies.
Treasurer - Gail Bruhn, Storrs, CT
Bruhn is the returning Treasurer and an accomplished investment professional, with an MBA, CPA and CFA. Bruhn has spent many years in the investment industry, managing portfolios for insurance and banking firms and served as President of the Hartford CFA Society.
After retiring from the investment field, she has used her skills to help non-profit organizations and foundations improve their financial and investment operations. Bruhn has been involved with USTA New England for many years. She and her husband Tom have three sons who played USTA and college tennis, and she had the opportunity to travel to numerous USTA tennis tournaments, following her youngest son’s national junior tennis career. In addition, she enjoys competing in USTA Leagues in the Hartford area and serves as co-captain of her local team.
*Secretary - Jennifer Driscoll, Westport, CT
Driscoll is a passionate tennis player and fan with a lifelong connection to the sport. Her tennis journey began at age 12, and more recently, she’s an active participant in USTA Adult League teams and Interclub teams in Fairfield County. As a mother to three competitive junior players, her bond with the sport is deeply personal.
Professionally, Driscoll boasts 26 years in the financial services sector and currently serves as the CEO of StarCompliance, a global leader in employee compliance software. She has held executive positions, including EVP, Global Client Relations at Ipreo, a prominent global provider of software solutions and analytics for the financial services industry.
Driscoll’s volunteer work includes being a Parent Liaison at the New Canaan Racquet Club, offering support and guidance to junior players and their families. She has also served as the USTA Junior Team Tennis Coordinator at Aspetuck Valley Country Club and Westport Tennis Club, where she played a crucial role in organizing clinics, managing communications, and overseeing various aspects of the Junior Team Tennis programs.

NE Wins Friendship CupAugust 14, 2023The Friendship Cup has a rich history and successful story of establishing international camaraderie and sisterhood both on and off the court. The tradition started in 1967 when Walter Foeger of Vermont was looking to establish competitive senior tennis play in alliance with the New England Lawn Tennis Association (NELTA), now USTA New England. He contacted George Barta of the Canadian senior division, and together, they created the Friendship Cup. In that year, players competed on three courts at the Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. Read More
