USTA NEW ENGLAND AND MASSACHUSETTS INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION RENEW PARTNERSHIP TO ENHANCE HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS

WESTBOROUGH, MA - USTA New England is excited to announce it has renewed its partnership with the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) aimed at continuing to bolster high school tennis programs across the state. The partnership was created in 2024 and has been extended through June 2026.

This year, USTA New England will focus on ensuring MIAA players and coaches are up to date with the most recent digital tools and online resources available. This includes showcasing a high school module that allows coaches to manage teams, schedule matches, enter scores from the courts and view previous match results and current standings.

“Throughout the past year, our team has achieved remarkable success in building relationships with Massachusetts high school coaches and players. We share a commitment with the MIAA to grow the game of tennis at the high school level, and it’s energizing to partner with an organization aligned with our goals. It's rewarding to see our team's work come to fruition and know that we're making a positive impact, one we hope to replicate with other state associations in New England,” said Shawna Fors, Director, Competition and Coach Development for USTA New England.

The MIAA and USTA New England will continue to offer a wide range of valuable resources, including in-person and virtual workshops, webinars and networking events for coaches and additional play opportunities for students.

“USTA New England has been a great partner to support MIAA school teams and players through educational resources. They have developed opportunities to support coaches and create attention to advancing the love of the game with our students. Their foundation of growing the game is clear and evident in everything they promote. We have been pleased to collaborate closely with USTA New England,” said Richard Pearson, MIAA Associate Director.

The MIAA and USTA New England share a commitment to excellence, innovation and community engagement, and by working together, both organizations are poised to elevate the high school tennis experience and inspire the next generation of tennis players in Massachusetts.
