‘I AM A TENNIS PLAYER’ CAMPAIGN DONATES $2,000 TO NEW ENGLAND TENNIS & EDUCATION FOUNDATION

WESTBOROUGH, MA - The U.S. Tennis Association of New England (USTA New England) ran a summer-long marketing campaign to promote tennis and celebrate players on and off the court. As part of the campaign, branded merchandise was sold to support the New England Tennis & Education Foundation, the 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm of USTA New England. Today, the organization is happy to announce a donation of $2,000 to the foundation on behalf of the ‘I am a tennis player’ campaign.

“Our goal was to raise both money and awareness of our foundation as part of our summer campaign. Our players were happy to support the cause and show off their passion for the sport by wearing ‘I am a tennis player’ apparel. We are proud to be able to give $2,000 to support foundation efforts,” said Alex Wesley, Director of Marketing for USTA New England.

The New England Tennis & Education’s mission is, ‘To create life-changing opportunities through tennis, education and wellness.’ The organization supports the New England network of National Junior Tennis and Learning chapters, local players through grants and our wheelchair and adaptive tennis communities.

“On behalf of the foundation, we thank USTA New England for this generous support. This contribution shows the true dedication and commitment that the organization has for our foundation. Our tennis community was eager to help support this campaign and we are excited to continue engaging our players in our fundraising efforts,” said Mary McKernan, incoming President of the New England Tennis & Education Foundation.
