Yale Wins 2025 Tennis On Campus New England Championship

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Yale University captured its first ever Tennis On Campus (TOC) New England Championship on Sunday following an exciting final against Brown University. The Bulldogs headlined the two-day event at MIT, Babson College and Lexington High that featured 30 of New England's best college club tennis teams.

Yale went 3-0 during Saturday’s flight play to advance to Sunday’s Gold Bracket at MIT, an eight-team single-elimination draw. They cruised past host MIT in the quarterfinals and edged Tufts University in the semifinals to set up a championship clash with multi-time New England champions Brown.

Yale opened the final strong with convincing wins in men’s and women’s doubles. Despite dropping men's singles, the Bulldogs sealed the victory thanks to the clutch play of their mixed doubles team, Ryan Zerbib and former top New England junior Lauren Zhang, who closed out the historic run. Zhang also won her women's singles match.

With the win, Yale clinched an automatic berth to the TOC National Championship in April in Fort Worth, TX. They'll be joined by finals opponents, Brown, as well as UMass Amherst, Tufts, MIT and Harvard University, which finished second to sixth, respectively.

A seventh bid will be awarded to the New England Club of the Year, which will be announced later this year.

Boston University and Dartmouth college rounded out the Gold Bracket, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively.

The Northeastern A team took home the Silver Bracket, while the Brown B team won Bronze and WPI claimed the Copper title.
