SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Join us for the first annual RALLY FOR RESCUES charity mixed doubles tennis tournament and social, Sunday April 15 from noon-3 pm at Camelback Village Racquet and Health Club in Scottsdale.

If you play just one tennis event this year, make it Rally For Rescues. This will be a three-hour, super fun tennis lovefest, with the sole aim being to raise funds that will go directly to Arizona Animal Welfare League, Arizona's largest and oldest no-kill shelter.

This will be a mixed doubles event, so you will need to locate a partner to play with (your dog can't play with you, sadly - this is a human tennis event).

The goal is to play several short, timed matches designed to get you on and off the court quickly so you can hang out, have fun, and pet all the dogs! Level-based play is what we will aim for (NTRP combined levels), but all levels of play are welcome. This isn't the US Open of tennis, it is a light-hearted social tennis event.

We will also pair you with a partner should you need one. Contact tournament director Jeff Sikes at sikes@southwest.usta.com to get your name on the 'Need a Partner' list and we will do the best we can to pair you with a partner.

Tournament Proceeds and beneficiary: One hundred paw-cent of event proceeds raised will be donated to Arizona Animal Welfare League's (AAWL) rescue efforts. The per-person entry fee is $75 per player, but rest assured that all of it will go to Arizona Animal Welfare League.

Adoption Day and Silent Auction: We WILL have rescue animals from Arizona Animal Welfare League ON SITE during the event for you to visit with and, hopefully, be willing to rescue from their homeless existence! There will also be auction items for you to bid on, with the intention of raising even more money for AAWL's efforts.
