What does receiving this award mean to you?

"As a small CTA run by just volunteers, this recognition is a great honor but also an opportunity to highlight the work we're doing here and raise awareness about tennis in our community. To be successful over time, we need to develop a strong group of volunteers and board members who can carry on the work in the future. Being named the Small CTA of the Year will definitely help us in recruiting new supporters to sustain our programs. Our success is in large part due to the great support we get from USTA Texas and the Capital Area Tennis Association – both financial support but, more importantly, great mentoring and professional resources that make our work possible." – Richard Evans, President

Presented at the 2024 Awards Luncheon at the Omni Las Colinas Hotel in Irving on Saturday, Feb. 10th:

To say the Lake Travis Tennis Association is a busy group would be an understatement. Nestled on the banks of the Lake Travis reservoir near Austin, LTTA has cultivated a thriving tennis community with over 700 participants since its founding in 2018.

Programs and initiatives they’ve pioneered include: advocacy efforts to build tennis courts at the city and county levels, leveraging connections to raise the profile of tennis in the area, establishing tennis kits for local libraries, awarding scholarships and supporting local social tennis leagues.
