USTA Texas CTA of the Year Awards

2025 CTA Award Winner, Waco Tennis Association

Reintroduced in 2023, these awards honor one Large CTA and one Small CTA* that successfully fulfills the mission of the USTA – to grow tennis to inspire healthier people and communities everywhere – by providing various competitive and recreational play opportunities to their diverse communities. 

 

*A 'Large CTA' is nestled in the heart of a bustling metropolitan area. It has dedicated, paid professionals to help elevate their tennis community. A 'Small CTA'  is located in a non-metropolitan area. It is powered by passionate volunteers or a modest staff.

  • Cannot receive the award more than once within a five (5) year period (i.e., 2020 winner is not eligible until 2025). 
  • Must be located within the boundaries of USTA Texas.
  • Must have a current USTA organizational membership.
  • Must be a published USTA Texas CTA.

2026

  • Nomination Period: November 1-21, 2025
  • Notification Period: December 15-19, 2025
  • Awards Luncheon: February 7, 2026

Nominations open annually on the first day of November and close the Friday before Thanksgiving. Selection Committees review nominations and select winners during the first two weeks of December. Submitters are notified about the status of their nomination and winners are contacted the third week of December. Winners are honored and awards are presented at the USTA Texas Awards Luncheon the second Saturday in February.
