School Tennis Coordinator/ Youth Progression Coordinator

The Coordinator will: a) cooperate with elementary, middle, and high school administrators to implement the USTA Schools Tennis Program; assist in ongoing education/school related projects/partnerships our Section maintains, with organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs, LA Unified School District, Girl Scouts and others which may be assigned. Youth Progression oversees junior tennis for ages 7-11 years of age.

Challengers Tennis Academy, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro LA, Los Angeles, CA
Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes. ADVERTISEMENT Promotes and stimulates program participation. Orients new members programs, special events, and opportunities as well as club safety, program and disciplinary rules. Provides guidance and role modeling to members. Provides beginning through advanced instruction and performs racquet stringing. Participates as part of a team to run quality programs by helping out where needed or directed, which may include driving the club vans, etc. Participates in training / educational opportunities to expand knowledge and skills. Additional duties as assigned.
The Denver Tennis Park, Inc., Denver, CO
The Denver Tennis Park Inc. is a new not for profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to serving Denver youth through tennis programs that foster whole-child development. Expected completion of DTP’s indoor/outdoor facilities (13 courts) is Fall, 2018. Denver Public Schools and the University of Denver are collaborating with the DTP on this project and will be primary beneficiaries.

After School Enrichment Tennis Coach
Duties include instructing students grades PK-8 during and after school with our nationally recognized team of coaches. Enrichment classes are held on school grounds for 1.5-4 hours a day. Instructors deliver proven curriculum on the fundamentals of tennis, fitness and the rules of the game. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) experiments, utilizing tennis and fitness gear, along with other fun adaptable academics which are part of the daily curriculums.
