USTA Texas Member Organization of the Year Award



2024 Member Org Award Winner, DTA

Established in 1982, the USTA Texas Member Organization of the Year Award recognizes a USTA member organization* in Texas for its outstanding service to its members and the game of tennis. The recipient of this award is automatically nominated for the USTA Member Organization of the Year Award, when applicable.

 

*The USTA offers free organizational memberships to community tennis associations, clubs, parks and recreation departments, schools, and service organizations that actively conduct, control, and supervise tennis activities and/or are interested in the promotion of tennis.

  • Cannot receive the award more than once within a seven (7) year period (i.e., 2017 winner is not eligible until 2024).
  • Must perform operations within the boundaries of USTA Texas.
  • Must have a current USTA organizational membership.
  • Must include a brief history of the organization.
  • Should include service to their members and greater tennis community.

2026

  • Nomination Period: November 1-21, 2025
  • Notification Period: December 15-19, 2025
  • Awards Luncheon: February 7, 2026

Nominations open annually on the first day of November and close the Friday before Thanksgiving. Selection Committees review nominations and select winners during the first two weeks of December. Submitters are notified about the status of their nomination and winners are contacted the third week of December. Winners are honored and awards are presented at the USTA Texas Awards Luncheon the second Saturday in February.
