Junior Tennis Foundation
The Junior Tennis Foundation (JTF) was incorporated in 1982 “to promote the development of tennis among underprivileged children as a means of healthful recreation and physical fitness.”
Today, the JTF’s mission is to provide financial support to tennis programs within the USTA Eastern Section that serve underprivileged and/or at-risk youth and people with disabilities. Working in close partnership with USTA Eastern and the supported programs, JTF has provided over $3 million dollars in grants since its inception. These grants and scholarships have afforded many children the opportunity to attend tennis camps, national competitions and educational workshops.
Programs the JTF currently supports include the Essex Grassroots Tennis & Education, New York Junior Tennis & Learning (program participants pictured above), City Parks Foundation, Harlem Junior Tennis & Education, Kings County Tennis League, Greater Newark Tennis & Education, 15-LOVE and many more.
