Tennis in PE

Tennis in PE curricula allows all students to experience success regardless of experience or ability through cooperative and play-based group activities. The foremost principle is the use of modified, tennis equipment that makes the game fun, safe and engaging from the moment a child first picks up a racquet. Find out how you can get started below:

Register Your PE Class:

Find Lesson Plans For Your PE Class:
  • The USTA built turnkey lesson plans, created in conjunction with SHAPE (Society of Health and Physical Educators), to give everyone the tools to teach tennis. Plus with the Net Generation Mobile App, you have access to those tools wherever you are.
  • View here: Resource Library

Teachers In-Service Trainings:
  • The workshop is an interactive, three-hour training for your school district that provides and teaches the tools needed to begin tennis in your PE classes.

Connect with your Community:
  • The USTA will help you connect your school(s) with a local community tennis organization that will work with you to provide additional play opportunities for your students, during PE classes and/or after school. It’s the perfect partnership for continued, successful play. In addition, through your community partnership, your school will be eligible to receive a FREE equipment pack (valued at $1,000).
